Petit St. Vincent, A Private Resort Island in the Grenadines
Petit St.Vincent (locally known as PSV) lies 40 miles south of St.Vincent in
the Grenadines; a group of islands sprinkled across the most beautiful
stretch of water in the Caribbean. Part of the
Windward Island chain, the Grenadines drift southwesterly from St. Vincent,
the largest of more than 30 islands that make up the nation of St. Vincent
and the Grenadines. ( Some of the islands are Union Island, Carriacou, Petite Martinique,
Palm Island, Bequia, Mustique, Tobago Cays, Martinque and Grenada)
Petit St. Vincent is a romantic paradise of softly rolling hills spread over
113 acres, surrounded by two miles of white sand beaches. PSV has 22 discreet
and simple, yet luxurious cottages. Experience total privacy. Lying well off
the tourist mainstream, PSV has no airport, no formal check in, no keys. There
are no televisions or telephones in the cottages, just a simple flag system
for communication with the attentive staff. It
is the perfect Caribbean hideaway.
Here, amid untouched nature and surrounded by warm, crystal-clear, turquoise
water, one senses that the island is one’s own. The truly hermitic
guest can relish in total privacy. Room service is available for all
meals, either in your own cottage or at any other location on the island.
Most guests however, choose to make use of the resort’s beautiful
bar and dining room for at least some of their meals.
The 22 cottages are sited to make the most of their immediate surroundings.
Some are notched into the hills and bluffs to catch the breeze and savor
the views, most are just steps from the beach. All the buildings are naturally
air-conditioned with a combination of ceiling fans, louvered windows, cool
terra cotta floors and the ocean breeze.
Remote and secluded, the cottages are beautifully appointed.
Each cottage is built from native blue bitch stone which is quarried on the
island, with peaked ceilings made of purpleheart hardwood, blending beautifully
with the island’s terrain. Each cottage features a wooden sundeck,
a living room, a bedroom, and one or two bathrooms and dressing rooms. The
bathrooms have a shower, fluffy robes and towels and a medley of Molton Brown
toiletries. The two daybeds in each living room can be made up to accommodate
children.
Barbados is the major gateway for PSV. There are flights to Barbados from
New York, Miami, Toronto, San Juan and London, with connections from other
major cities in the U.S. and Europe. Arriving guests are then
flown on to neighboring Union Island via Grenadines Airways.
Petit St. Vincent's all inclusive activities– PSV's warm turquoise
waters are perfect for snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, water
skiing, and fishing. Our dock house has Hobie Cats, Sunfish, windsurfers,
glass bottom kayaks and ocean kayaks. There is a lovely lighted tennis court
surrounded by fragrant flowers and bushes, where guests play during the cooler
hours of the day. A hike up Marni Hill is not to be missed.
The path winds through untouched tropical jungle and past banyan and rubber
trees with local orchids nestling on the branches. At the top, the views
of the surrounding Grenadine islands and Atlantic Ocean are magnificent;
there is a sense of utter tranquility.
Other activities: Sailing to the Tobago Cays aboard Jambalaya. Cruise the Grenadines with Jahash.
Scuba dive with Glenroy Adam's Grenadines Dive. Pamper yourself with a massage or facial.

Get away from it all and enjoy Petit St. Vincent's
